It produces one of the world’s most loved wine brands with unwavering quality and consistency.

The state-of-the-art winery features the fastest bottling line in the southern hemisphere, capable of processing 36,000 bottles per hour.

WHERE WINE MEETS WHISKY

At Morris of Rutherglen, we blend tradition with innovation to craft premium Australian single malt whisky.

Made from 100% Australian malted barley, brewed and fermented onsite, and distilled using restored 1930s copper stills, our whisky is matured in ex-red wine barrels from our Barossa and Coonawarra wineries.

Finished in Morris fortified wine barrels, this unique process imparts the whisky with its signature richness, depth, and character.

We create a unique whisky style that speaks to our home. Made with nothing but 100% Australian premium malted barley, our whisky is brewed and fermented in our family-owned brewery for total quality control.

the spirit of tradition

At Morris of Rutherglen, our whisky is distilled using two original 1930s copper stills, lovingly restored to preserve their legacy.

The first, named Aurora, a nod to Sleeping Beauty, awakened after decades of slumber, symbolises the revival of tradition in modern Australian whisky-making. Alongside her, Ella, an identical still, ensures consistency and quality in every batch.

Together, these stills form the soul of our distillery, blending heritage, character, and craftsmanship into every drop.

OUR COOPERAGE

We mature our single malt whiskies in ex-red wine barrels sourced from our Barossa and Coonawarra wineries, prepared by hand at our private cooperage in Yenda.

Each whisky is then finished in Morris fortified wine barrels, adding depth and character drawn from generations of winemaking heritage. By using our own casks for ageing and finishing, Morris stands apart as a truly unique Australian distillery.
