When Captain Stentiford arrived in Coonawarra, the single track rail line had only recently been opened in 1887. Today in the heart of Coonawarra the only train station borders one of Brand’s Laira’s most important vineyard blocks. This iconic blend of Cabernet and Shiraz delivers a rich, powerful, dark fruited wine that will reward with careful cellaring for those that can wait.

The palate is soft and round displaying pure dark berry flavours with a hint of mocha and spice from time spent maturing in oak
